The eight-week foundation
Learn the SQL that makes the rest of the workflow possible.
Each week combines a prerecorded lesson, slide-by-slide review, recall, and required work. Students must complete the sequence before the project environments unlock.
Week 01SQL foundations+
Understand databases, tables, rows, columns, and the structure of a query before writing your first statements.
Week 02Data integrity and constraints+
Work with keys, relationships, constraints, and the rules that keep business data reliable.
Week 03Logic and useful functions+
Filter, compare, calculate, and shape results with logical expressions and built-in SQL functions.
Week 04Joining business data+
Connect related tables and learn how join choices change the meaning and completeness of a result.
Week 05Subqueries, CTEs, CASE, and UNION+
Break larger questions into readable steps and combine results without losing the business logic.
Week 06Window functions+
Create rankings, running calculations, and comparisons while preserving row-level detail.
Week 07Variables and control flow+
Use variables, conditions, and loops to understand how repeatable database logic is assembled.
Week 08Stored procedures and SQL Agent jobs+
Package reusable logic, understand scheduled database work, and connect the pieces into a professional workflow.
After the lessons
Move from individual queries to a connected project.
Finishing all lesson requirements unlocks the ETL Designer. Completing the ETL task unlocks Dashboard Studio. No instructor approval is required to keep moving.
ETL Designer
Select tools, connect the data flow, apply transformations, test the pipeline, and preview the resulting model.
Dashboard Studio
Arrange report elements, add useful charts and filters, then explain the business decisions the dashboard supports.

What students should know before starting.
Is the Data Analyst program designed for beginners?+
Yes. The curriculum begins with relational database and SQL foundations, then moves into joins, subqueries, window functions, stored procedures, ETL, and dashboard development.
How are the lessons delivered?+
Students follow prerecorded lessons, review the presentation slides at their own pace, complete recall activities, and submit the required assignment for each lesson.
How much time should I plan each week?+
A typical student should plan for approximately four to six hours per week. The actual time depends on prior experience and how much practice a concept requires.
Where do students practice SQL?+
SQL practice happens inside LearnFi's browser-based SQL Lab. Students can explore AdventureWorks objects, write and execute queries, review errors, and return to saved work in a later session.
Are SQL answers given to students?+
No. Students use the lesson and slides as references, then write their own queries. Assignments are checked after submission so students can understand what needs another attempt.
How do the ETL and dashboard projects unlock?+
Completing every lesson requirement unlocks the ETL project. Completing the ETL task then unlocks Dashboard Studio. Students do not need instructor approval to continue once the requirements are finished.
What career support is included after completion?+
After completing the enrolled programs and projects, eligible students can access the application resources and book two structured mock-interview sessions.
